The Problems...
What about existing programs? If GOS is based on a browser what happens to the programs that we depend on? OK fine. I understand also that you are gearing your OS toward netbooks and the usability of a 120 Gigabyte harddrive these days is tough but I do depend on some of the programs on Windows and Linux(ubuntu). Am I going to have to constantly reboot to an OS that I can do useful things on and then when I'm ready for limited functionality I can switch back to GOS?
The Cools...
I always thought that Google would come out with an OS and I believe that starting with Netbooks is a brilliant plan. One thing that I'm excited for is the ability to write applications for an operating system. Pretty pumped.
The Dissappointing...
I was real dissappointed when I heard that they were basing their OS off of Chrome. A Linux base for Google OS would've been real cool not to mention bring more people to the Linux side. Just when Ubuntu was gaining more popularity Google swoops in. Better luck next release....
